Although instructors value doing your own thing, it can be frustrating to get creative to substitute inaccesible moves like pistol squats or boat pose with a toe hold. I consider myself fit, but the instructor cued mountain climbers so early into class that I aggravated an injury since I wasn’t warmed up. I would recommend this place if you are injury free and have great awareness of your body’s needs!

She is energetic, motivating, clear with her instructions, tough but with love, and has the best cues. Her class is always invigorating and empowering. It’s the perfect workout to work every muscle big and small throughout your body. You also feel more grounded and focused. After all, it’s yoga! If you want to experience a challenging yoga session and take your Vinyasa up a notch, take this class!!

Katya was great at her verbal cues which she used predominantly to explain everything. The only thing I didn't know is that it's a tad warm in there, so extra extra sweaty when leaving :) I will definitely be coming back!

The heated room was such a nice touch and the facility was very clean and relaxing. The instructor was great with instructions and I just made sure to watch other people in the classes for poses that I was unfamiliar with. I will definitely be back again.

Yoga is so much more than asana and exercise and while Ali definitely stoked the fire within me with a powerful Ashtanga vinyasa sequence (e.g., we literally we fogged up the windows), she took the time to actually TEACH us something more. Starting the class with breath work and a dharma talk was a breath of fresh air not felt in many DC power classes. Can’t begin to express how much I loved it.

I would say if you’ve never ever taken a yoga class it might be helpful to at least watch a yoga video on YouTube prior to taking this class, but you can also just observe and try to replicate what’s she’s doing-even if you don’t know the names of poses!

The studio is heated which really allows to go even deeper into the yin poses. Whatever soreness or aches and pains I had gets removed by the time I leave class. Taye does a great job verbalizing throughout the class and is attentive to any student needs. I so appreciate her positive energy!
